New Rules
1. Lag for break;
Each
player should use balls of equal size – i.e. two white balls or two
coloured balls. They have to be placed on the line and played simultaneously, the
referee will inform players when to Lag, each ball has to hit the top cushion
and return to bulk, the ball that lands nearest to bulk then chooses whether to
break or put the opponent in.
2. Break:
If
a player pots a colour off the break, the player can then decide whether to
stay on that colour or choose the other colour. If a player chooses the other
colour and does not pot the selected colour, it is deemed that it becomes an
open table. However, should the player decide to remain on the colour potted
and does not pot a ball on the next shot, the player remains on that colour and
the opponent has to play on the opposite colour.
